More partridge shooting, and offered lunch by a Lambardar but would take too long. Manage to get away with two brace for Kohat, but on the last day only get one with great difficulty for ten cartridges. I start with an average of one bird to 15 cartridges but eventually get down to one per two and a half.
It’s moving by moonlight on the river, with the partridge calling on both banks and a glass of something in my hand.
Arrived D.I.K. at 9.30 – sent Ghulam Rasul in for a tonga (2/8/- for some four miles) – and find my watch has gained one and a half hours. Now sitting in Darya Khan waiting room after a good bath. Would like to see a paper though!
